Nigeria and the Fuel Scarcity Saga ( JEANKARA Edition)

Musa picked up his phone with a smile, his “goons” were in town, and they were going to paint the city with the colours of champagne and any other drink they could afford. Turn-up because, Friday night.
 Network was too poor; he could just hear some static shouts about a season in town. He cut the call and was about to call right back when Nosa, one of the boys texted “the fuel season is upon us again, we can’t make it tonight, maybe tomorrow”
Musa couldn’t make any sense out of it all; at best he thought they were already drunk. He “kuku” decided to watch TV. He grabbed the remote and began flipping through channels, music, lifestyle, none was appealing.
 He reluctantly settled for NTA (Nigerian Television Authority). The newscaster was dishing out the 9pm news, Government policies, Mr. President’s movement, Senate’s Yays and Nays, same old, same old. Musa sighed, grabbed the remote to search for greener pastures. But a video clip by the NTA caught his attention.
A long queue of impatient cars in a Petrol station, and another queue donned by carless yellow and black gallon wielding citizens struggling in the usual Nigerian culture to get a shortcut to the “ELIXIR”. The news reporter stated that NUPENG was embarking on a long strike, so common sense has it that there would be a severe fuel scarcity, NATIONWIDE. It just hit Musa; the text from Nosa suddenly made sense, “the fuel season is upon us”
He veered into panic mode. His fuel tanks were almost empty, Car and Generator. He planned a romantic road trip with BAE the following day. He had to charge his gadgets to submit an urgent report to the office over the weekend, and above all, he had to make that road trip with BAE because he has been cancelling all year, and BAE wouldn’t find it funny, it was long overdue.
What to do? (Inserts danger soundtrack)
Fast-forward to the next day, Musa goes to pick up bae as though everything was normal. He had a mischievous plan. In the stead of calling to cancel the date, he decided to pick her up, let the fuel finish on the road, and then embark on a fuel hunt with the gallons he carefully placed in the trunk. (Musa the Miscreant).
So here they are, in the middle of nowhere, Petroless, and the girlfriend is frowning her face like crazy (Hehehe)

Musa tries to lighten up the mood by introducing some hot-sun romance, but it only led to this;

Love is patient they say, so he tries even harder (lol) but bae wasn’t having any of that;

Realizing that they weren’t left with any other option, they resorted to team work. The ultimate search for petrol began;

They crossed desserts and oceans, but couldn’t find the “ELIXIR”

Bae was fuming with rage

But she gave herself sense. She realized that she was in the middle of nowhere with the love of her life, on a horse….wait a minute…..isn’t this the stuff fairy tales are made of?
Fuel can always be gotten from the white market or the black market, but this moment, this particular moment cannot be gotten back. So she chose to be smart, she banished her rage and basked in the Desert Date, she embraced the Nigerian in her, and she changed it. Look below;

She struck poses and Musa took pictures of her
They had fun. But right now as the eye witness is typing this, I do not really know where they are. The only trail I could find was the pony they left behind. Did they find fuel, did they embrace hermit life, I do not know………somebody call 911!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe we should look at the pony for clues;

I will get back to you when i find the lovebirds. Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehehe
